I am a Los Angeles based ceramicist, originally trained as a sculptor. For the last decade I ran a delivery based floral studio in Northeast LA, pairing my arrangements with handmade ceramic vessels, work that put my pieces directly into homes across the city. Ceramics is now my main focus, not a complement to the flowers.

I build my pieces by hand-building and slip-casting; with slip-casting, liquid clay is poured into plaster molds to take the shape. Everything is high-fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln and finished with reactive glazes that shift and vary in the fire, so no two come out the same. I tend to work with the material rather than against it, much of how a piece finishes is settled in the kiln.

The work ranges from functional ware, plates and bowls, to vases, planters, and larger sculptural pieces, and I'm now moving into pierced lighting and table lamps.
